Dutch Easter Open (South)

The first of the Easter Open tournaments, the South event is one of the largest two-day international tournaments in the Netherlands. Based in the Limburg area, the tournament caters for boys/mixed and girls teams. Matches are played across several local football clubs’ facilties where your team will have fixtures in either the morning, or the afternoon. This presents a great opportunity to explore some of the wonderful local excursions, which can include trips of PSV Eindhoven or Vitesse Arnhem.
2023 Age Groups:
Boys/Mixed: U7 to U19 - Girls: U13 to U17
Previous participating nations:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, USA, Wales
Facilities:
All games are played at local clubs within the Limburg area of the Netherlands, generally on grass pitches. All facilities are equipped with changing and toilet facilities.
Matches:
The tournament consists of a group stage of 4 teams per group. The second day is seeded knockout fixtures competing for either the A Plate or the B Plate, based on each group table after close-of-play on the first day. It is expected that teams will play a minimum of 6 games across the weekend but team leaders should note that the format may vary based on the number of entries in each age group.
Age Groups:
- U7 = 4v4 - U8 – U10 = 7v7 - U11 – U12 = 8v8 - U13 = 8v8 (Girls) 11v11 (Boys) - U14 + = 11v11
Match Duration:
- U7 – U12 (& U13 Girls) = 1 x 20 minute - U13 + = 1 x 30 minute
*The Dutch Easter Open operates international age groups, unlike the UK grassroots system. A member of our team will work with you to place your team in the most suitable age group based on the birth dates of your players.

Centre Parcs Het Heijderbos:
Themed around the jungle, this Centre Parcs has something for everyone. A market domes offers a great experience for participants to enjoy eating under the canopy of a tropical rainforest. Activities are plentiful and fun for all ages, including; laser squash, tennis, climbing, swimming in the tropical pool and so much more! The site is located approximately 20 minutes coach travel away from the Easter Open facilities.
Holiday Village Kempense Meren:
A wonderful array of activities including, Aquafun; a subtropical swimming pool with waves and slides makes this Sun Parks option a great base for your stay in mainland Europe. Your players will be kept occupied with fun on-site activities, including bowling, where they have the opportunity to take their competitive spirit into a different environment. Kempense Meren is situated approximately 70 minutes coach travel away from the Easter Open facilities.

Travel:
NSX supply a coach from your centralised location to and from the tournament, inclusive of ferry crossings and all tournament transfers. A range of great and varied excursions are available and your coach will provide any necessary transport you require.
